Best Practices Committee
Chairman: Jeff Miller, Interstates Control Systems, Sioux Center, IA
Mission: To attract industry leaders to actively participate and contribute towards the advancements and adoption of best business and technical practices. The committee actively leverages and adopts existing best practices whenever possible and when not, creates them and shares them with fellow CSIA members. The committee work to provide fellow CSIA members information in a format that is easily accessible and further works to provide training to facilitate understanding and acceptance. All activities support the CSIA Mission Statement.
Partner Committee Chairman: Steve Goldberg, Matrix Technologies, Inc., Maumee, OH
Mission: The Partner Committee is dedicated to creating a mutually beneficial relationship between Partners and the integrator community. The committee does this by 1) maximizing the input of partner members to CSIA goals including membership growth, certification, and end user marketing; 2) promoting the benefits of the CSIA, in particular the best practices and certification, to end users and within their own integrator community; and 3) providing insight into the integrator community to the Partners.
Insurance Committee Chairman: Brian Beaufeaux, Industrial Automation Engineering, Inc., Ham Lake, MN
Mission: To promote appropriate insurance for the CSI industry and promote the benefit to prospects and members. Evaluate captive insurance model for CSIA to provide the most cost-effective insurance for the industry.
PR/Marketing Committee Chairman: Tom Walther ESE Inc, Marshfield, WI
Mission: To provide outreach to the media and related trade publications in order to continuously market system integration and CSIA. Develop ideas, collateral and programs to educate CSIA membership's client base about the CSIA organization and the value to them of using CSIA Certified Members. Target audiences are members, prospects, partners and end-users. A full PR plan is developed annually and implemented by staff. The executive council is currently the main "go to" group, and the committee hopes to develop this over time to include much broader representation of members. All PR/marketing collaterals are housed on the CSIA Web site and promoted on an ongoing basis.
Membership Committee Chairman: Joseph Martin, Martin Control Systems, Dublin, OH
Mission: The Membership Committee is devoted to retaining and growing CSIA integrator membership in the United States and Internationally. By retaining current membership, supporting the association's recruiting efforts, engaging members actively in the community, and recognizing members for significant achievements, the Membership Committee assures a vibrant membership for the association.
Nominating Committee Chairman: Jim Campbell, Viewpoint Systems, Inc, Rochester, NY
Mission: The Nominating Committee provides 1) thoughtful recommendations to the Board for Award nominees to assure recognition for service to the association and/or the industry, and 2) recommendations for Board and Committee membership to assure quality association governorship and continuity from year to year.
Program Committee Chairman: CSIA Executive Director
Mission: To work with the Executive Council to develop a theme, speakers and block chairman for the annual Executive Conference.
Statistics Committee Chairman: PC Romano, Avid Solutions, Winston, Salem, NC
Mission: To gather data to benchmark other system integrators - done annually with an outside firm.
Web 2.0 Task Force Chairman: Ed Diehl, Concept Systems, Inc., Albany, OR
Mission: To develop a social networking long-range plan for CSIA and identify the best platform to accomplish goals. Provide content and ideas on an ongoing basis. Includes representation from all CSIA committees.
