What: Pieper Electric, Inc. purchases Green Bay, WI Firm

Strategic Acquisition Announced by Pieper Electric, Inc.:  The Whole will be Greater than the Sum of the Parts

Pieper Electric, Inc. acquired HiTech Control Systems, Inc. and HiTech Manufacturing Solutions, Inc. in a deal announced to employees on June 24, 2016.   Pieper Electric, Inc. is a 69 year old company with over 850 employees. The company recently consolidated their metro Milwaukee operations at a new location in New Berlin, WI to help support their growth plans.  HiTech has operations in Green Bay WI, Neenah WI, and Cincinnati, OH.  HiTech began professional practice in 1985; it currently employs 58.

HiTech, which will continue operating under that name, was sought out because of the complimentary market positions and the opportunity to leverage the collective strengths of each organization. Pieper Electric, Inc. is a leading provider of Electrical Construction, Service, Automation, Waste Water Treatment, Industrial, Electrical Panel Manufacturing and Power Distribution. HiTech will bring new services and expertise in the areas of Robotics, Vision Inspection Systems, Custom Engineered Assembly machines and full Project Engineering.

Rick Parra, President and COO of Pieper Electric, Inc. reports that in 2014, the company developed plans for growing business through acquisition but only if the services and skills as well as the cultures were highly compatible. He says, "Our people grow in a unique culture of entrepreneurship, empowerment, servant leadership, lifelong learning, safety and high ethical standards. We started searching by looking at 75 companies and ended with HiTech. They’ve done a wonderful job building a leading company in the market and creating the cultural attributes we feel strongly about.”

David Thode, who has been with HiTech for 29 years will continue in his leadership role as Branch Manager and further promote its significant brand recognition. Eric West, VP Automation, of Pieper Electric, Inc. will oversee the automation operations of both Pieper and HiTech. West comments, “Investing in the automation market through acquisition has been a strategic long term growth goal for Pieper Electric.  Because of continual advancements in technology, the automation market is projected to grow at a pace greater than some of our more mature markets.  This acquisition along with our current operations will make us one of the largest Automation System Integrators in the Midwest and position us to serve and bring greater value to customers in that market space.”

Pieper Electric, Inc. has additional operations outside of metro Milwaukee in Kenosha, Madison, Neenah, Janesville, Merrill, and Park Falls Wisconsin and is part of PPC Partners, an employee-owned holding company.
