The 4th Industrial Revolution has been hailed by many as the silver bullet that will usher in a new era of productivity and value creation.

While in principle, this is a compelling premise, what gets lost in translation is the reality that most of the manufacturing industry is regrettably still trapped in the 3rd industrial revolution.

Get a refreshing, compelling look at how to engage NOW in this industry-wide transformation process during this compelling presentation.

Old behaviors and business models must make way for new behaviors and business models, and those that refuse to make that transition are destined to be remembered on the “ash heap of history.”

There is a growing skills gap in mission-critical sectors. The existing workforce is reaching retirement age and is taking a lot of their knowledge and experience with them, and take up is declining in science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) subjects.

Engineering and technician roles are often seen as dirty and undesirable with limited prospects for career development. In addition, technological advances make it difficult for workers to keep pace with the skills and knowledge that they need in their roles.

Much of the foundational skills required for mission-critical operations, such as risk assessment and operations management have evolved over decades and the knowledge has been passed on through “on the job training”. This approach, without any means to formally quantify the knowledge transfer, creates inconsistent and non-repeatable results, and the potential to dilute the knowledge each time it is passed on.

The Certified Mission Critical Professional program helps to bridge the skills gap and improve on the “on the job training” approach, by providing employers with certified competent individuals who can help positively contribute to the company’s reputation and performance.

A discussion of how to remain efficient and effective when everyone works from different locations.

Long before Covid was in the media, a team of three competing integration firms formed to collaborate on one of the largest SCADA projects in the US in 2020. With contributing development and management teams spread across the US, these partners worked with the SCADA software supplier and the software's integrated multi-developer toolset to create a centralized configuration platform for regional offices to contribute in real-time to the same project. This platform has now been expanded to support additional multi-office collaborations and to maintain the rapid progressive deployment scheme of the initial project. Join Blair Sooley of VTScada as he discusses this real-world case study and then applies the practice to other industry sectors.
