The Certified Mission Critical Professional (CMCP)

When:  Dec 16, 2020 from 10:00 to 11:00 (CT)
There is a growing skills gap in mission-critical sectors. The existing workforce is reaching retirement age and is taking a lot of their knowledge and experience with them, and take up is declining in science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) subjects.
Engineering and technician roles are often seen as dirty and undesirable with limited prospects for career development. In addition, technological advances make it difficult for workers to keep pace with the skills and knowledge that they need in their roles.
Much of the foundational skills required for mission-critical operations, such as risk assessment and operations management have evolved over decades and the knowledge has been passed on through “on the job training”. This approach, without any means to formally quantify the knowledge transfer, creates inconsistent and non-repeatable results, and the potential to dilute the knowledge each time it is passed on.
The Certified Mission Critical Professional program helps to bridge the skills gap and improve on the “on the job training” approach, by providing employers with certified competent individuals who can help positively contribute to the company’s reputation and performance.
