Software Professional with a diverse software development and management background. Proven skills in developing and managing medium sized development teams in multiple geographies. Starting as a developer in Client/Server architectures and later focusing on Web App Development, most of the projects that I have contributed to were built using Microsoft development tools and technologies. I spent the first 7 years of my career working in this field.
A career change in 2006 took me away from corporate software development and into the Industrial Control Systems field. I joined a Control Systems Integrator and took on the role of VP of Engineering.
In this role, I have expanded my technical skills to include PLC and SCADA system design and development. My primary areas of focus has been the design and development of automated Airport Baggage Handling systems, Automated Materials Handling, and Package Sortation systems. I have overall design responsibility for the entire electrical control system - including the Electrical Design, Control Panel Fabrication & Testing, PLC Software design/development/testing, HMI/Monitoring/Reporting system design/development/testing, and the Electrical Installation.
As a Principal, I'm also directly accountable for the financial performance of each project, and with that, the financial health and growth of the Company. I manage the day to day P&L of the Company, perform Financial budgeting & forecasting, and manage Vendor & Customer relationships. As with any Small Business, everyone plays the role of a Salesman and to that end I enjoy wearing that hat very often.
