Bio

Nigel James is the strategic accounts manager for Triad Controls systems to develop Intrapreneurial business systems and processes for the team.

 

Nigel is responsible for setting the strategic plan, branding, advertising, and business development aspects of the company and integrating the products offerings into a one stop solution for our clients.

 

He received his degree Chemical Engineering from the University of Texas in Austin in 1986.  Nigel worked in the refinery industry for 8 years with Fina – three years overseas in Grimsby England.

 

He went into the Automation Consulting business in 1995. He founded his own firm James Consulting Co. in 1999 that was bought and merged into Mangan Inc. in 2002.  He served as President of Mangan from 2005 – 2006.  He continued as President of the Gulf Coast division from 2007-2012 when he retired from Mangan in November 2012.  He became the President of Burrow Global Automation in 2013 and grew that business from  less than $2MM per year to over $20MM per year in 4 years.   With a 55% YoY growth, BGA recently received the Integrator of the Year in 2017 from CFE media.

 

He was the inventor/creator of the Safety Lifecycle software – ProSys DR (www.prosysdr.com)  and has been very involved in developing best practices on Safety Lifecycle management for the industry for several Fortune 500 companies.

Nigel has been married 27 years to Molly, has five children, three grandchildren and when he is not working is very active in the soccer, kayaking, camping, and Catholic school finances.  He helps on the finance committee for Catholic schools.  He is a Knight of the Equestrian Order of the Holy Sepulchre.  He is an Eagle Scout, and recent recipient of the Herman Swift award.
