We are very happy to share with you ongoing activity in the region, supported by our partners and affiliated SIs.
On February 21, Phoenix Contact sponsored an event in Bogotá, Colombia, that drew 21 attendees from 17 companies, as well as from other cities such as Pereira and Barranquilla. General managers Hélmer Muñoz, from Kamati Ltda., and Eduardo Acosta, from Omnicon, shared their experiences with CSIA and how their companies have grown and become more solid by becoming certified CSIA members.
Thank you to Phoenix Contact and Carolina Luna, marketing manager, for their support of the event. Also thank you to Hélmer for initiating and making this event happen. Thanks also to Hélmer and Eduardo for their dedication, time and generosity in sharing their knowledge and experience through very interactive and useful presentations for the audience. As a result, 14 out of 17 companies have expressed interest in becoming CSIA members.

Hélmer’s generosity extended even further when he initiated an event in Medellin, Columbia, on March 5. Hélmer and Eduardo again presented at an event for Siemens Solution Partners and their top-level SIs in Medellín, Colombia. This time Eduardo focused more on how his company has internationalized, while Hélmer presented his experience as an example of growth and sustainability using an approach called Management System Optimized through CSIA.
Thank you to Sebastián Macías, Business Unit Manager - Factory Automation, at Siemens for giving CSIA and CSIA’s two certified members a very relevant presence at this event and for encouraging and supporting their solution partners to become CSIA members. More events are planned. CSIA has been invited by Hermos in Mexico to present CSIA and successful CSIA members’ experiences on April the 11 in Queretaro. In addition, Bosch Rexroth will sponsor an event in Monterrey in May also targeted to SIs.
Rockwell has also proposed events in Guadalajara, Monterrey, Queretaro and CDMX for their RcSI/SPs as it is also their goal to make them become CSIA certified members. CSIA greatly appreciates all of our partners and SIs support, which shows their commitment to elevate the industry standards and professionalism.

This has had an impact in the region´s growth for a total of 54 members in 2018, compared to 10 in 2010 when we started this initiative of the Latin America chapter.
