Our most outstanding achievement for the first quarter is the Certification of Cybermax by Don Roberts (Exotek). We congratulate Víctor González (CEO) and his team, along with Ignacio Guerra, the external consultant who helped Cybermax prepare for the audit.
Our LATAM Task Force was started as a member initiative in May 2017 during the Executive Conference in Fort Lauderdale. It has been successful and of value to our regional SIs. We have held five meetings so far, sharing practical and helpful insights on the following topics:
- How to get prepared for implementing Best Practices: human resources, financial resources and time
- How to better prioritize areas of scope to strengthen
- Self-evaluation
- Financial and human resources management
- ERP
We thank Víctor González (CEO Cybermax) and Ignacio Guerra (CEO Deux) for leading this task force, as well as all its members, for their active participation.
We held our Q1 event in Mexico City, with the generous sponsorship of Schneider Electric. A panel discussion on the topic of financial management was led by Jorge Mendoza (CEO of his newly created company, IDAAPPS) and Ernesto López (CEO Líder Control), and was moderated by José Rivera. In attendance was our guest Donald Harris, President of A3 Mexico. A3 and CSIA have been collaborating in the U.S. and Mexico.
Our membership has grown steadily in Latin America, particularly in Mexico. We are in the midst of the membership renewal cycle, and would like to remind our members to renew their membership if they haven’t already done so - We count on you.
